FAS Marie Curie International Postdoc Fellowship Programme
COFAS 2 is FAS' postdoc programme for internationalisation and researcher mobility. The programme supported by Marie Curie Actions within the Seventh Framwork Programme (FP7) of the European Union.
COFAS 2 offers two types of grants:

FAS Outgoing International Postdoc fellowships (FOIP)
Gives researchers within FAS' areas of responsibility the possibility to spend time at a foreign research institution to develop competence and build cross-border research collaboration
- Up to 1 million SEK per year
- Up to 24 months duration
- Additional financial support to dependant family members
- Possiblity of parental leave during grant period
- Repatriation period of up to 12 months

FAS Incoming International Postdoc fellowships (FIIP)
Gives researchers in countries other than Sweden the opportunity to exchange knowledge and competence with the Swedish research society within FAS' areas of responsibility.
- Up to 1 million SEK per year
- Up to 24 months duration
- Additional financial support to dependant family members
- Possiblity of parental leave during grant period

Grants are applied for during calls for proposals announced once a year. Applications are processed in a two-step process by an international review panel. The selection is primarily based on the research merits of the applicant but also on the applicant’s research plan.
